What I am for you

I wrote this a really long time ago in one of my moleskines and thought I’d throw it up. Sometimes I just write stuff down without much structure or technical thought. Sometimes something neat comes out.

What I am for you

I am slow and careful

I will crawl and soak

I will be easy and nice

I will be warm and soft

This body won’t shock you

Unintimidating and quiet

It settles and falls into place.

I am not crazy or literary

I’ll cry and sulk

I won’t scream or fight

I will be hard to remember

But I will be fond and proud

If you don’t remember my face

But I’m pretty and changeable.

You won’t write to or about me

I won’t muse or create

You will hold my hand

This is how you’ll love me.

Stop What You’re Doing And Watch The Hell Out Of This of the Day: Favorite sons The Gastown Royals (of Gastown, Vancouver, natch) perform their eminently hummable ode to futuristic sexism, “Girls Can’t Fly Jetpacks.”

I reblogged these earlier but people were having issues seeing them in IE (i imagine) because it was a CMYK jpeg. This is my theory so I’m reposting them in RBG glory because it’s my blog and I should probably post them on it so people can see. Yaaayyy.
